Bio

Catherine Hogan is the Chief Business Officer for Card and Connected Commerce at Chase. In this role Catherine manages the Product organization, Chief Administrative Office functions and Network Initiatives and Business Advocacy. Her key priorities are protecting the franchise in a rapidly evolving regulatory and legislative landscape and working across the business to more rapidly deliver new features and functionality to our clients. Prior to this role, Catherine served as the President of Branded Cards for Chase Card Services for 6 years, responsible for the Chase Freedom, Ink, Sapphire and Slate portfolios.

A results-oriented leader, her products have won many consumer choice and industry accolades, and she drove double digit growth in Credit Card Sales and industry leading “Top of Wallet” metrics during her time running the Branded Card business. Always starting with the customer first, she focuses on providing clear and compelling value and has launched and refreshed multiple new card products including: Ink Unlimited, Freedom Student, Freedom Flex, Slate Edge and Ink Business Premier. Additionally, Catherine was instrumental in bringing to market an Embedded Merchant Value strategy to introduce benefits in partnership with industry-leading lifestyle brands including DoorDash, Lyft and Peloton via an integrated in app experience.

Previously, Catherine was the Chief Financial Officer for Chase Card Services and Merchant Services where she partnered with business leaders to deliver on both strategic and financial priorities.

Before joining Chase, Catherine held roles in finance and global banking at American Express and other consumer financial services companies. She began her career at KPMG.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Accounting from the University of Kansas. She was a Board member for United Way of Delaware from 2016-2021 and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the School of Business at her alma mater.

Catherine and her husband Jim reside in Philadelphia and are the proud parents of three young adults; Jack, Emma and Olivia.
