Jim McGinley

Jim McGinley is a seasoned fintech executive and the General Manager of Credit Cards at Credit Karma, where he leads the industry’s premier credit card marketplace — connecting consumers to the right products while helping issuers reach the right customers. He was previously the co-founder of SeedFi (acquired by Intuit and now part of Credit Karma), a mission-driven fintech that developed innovative credit products to expand access for underbanked Americans. Earlier in his career, Jim held senior leadership roles at Capital One, JPMorgan Chase, Oportun, and Aura, where he led product strategy, customer acquisition, and risk management strategies. Jim earned a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University and a Masters of Engineering Management from Duke University. He is passionate about leveraging data and analytics to build scalable financial solutions that expand consumer access to credit and promote financial inclusion.
