Bart Willaert

Bart Willaert is Executive Vice President for Open Finance for the Americas at Mastercard, where he oversees the development of new products and technologies to unlock an open data future rooted in innovation, security, and inclusion. In his current role, Bart previously led Mastercard’s Open Banking services in the APMEA region, focusing on the design, development and the commercialization of digital payments and data services powered by Open Banking in Europe and Australian markets.

Bart has served in various leadership roles at Mastercard since joining in 2009, including Executive Vice President for Fintech Processing solutions and Global Digital Market Solutions & Deployment, as well as General Manager for the Nordics & Baltics and French markets. Before Mastercard, he was a Project Leader with The Boston Consulting Group and founded a technology startup. Bart holds a degree in Commercial Engineering in Business Informatics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and serves as a Board Member for Mastercard Open Banking.
